Ein neues Prinzip zur Erzeugung von Aerosolen für die InhalationstherapieTeil 2: Zerstäubung von Flüssigkeiten mit einer nicht angepaßten Lavaldüse in einer instationären Gasströmung*) Roman Messerschmida, Manfred Wolfa, Klaus- Jürgen Steffensa und Klaus Listb Pharmazeutisches Institut, Pharmazeutische Technologie, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitäta, Bonn, und IBL GmbH (Ingenieurbüro List)b, Reichelsheim New Principle for the Generation of Aerosols for Inhalation Therapy / Part 2: At-omization of liquids with an overexpand-ing Laval nozzle in instationary gasflow During the instationary relaxation gasflow through a laval nozzle with given theoretical outlet gas pressure one or several shockwaves occur inside the nozzle. These shockwaves are accompanied by a dramatic change of velocity, pressure, density, temperature and entropy within few micrometers of flow. Droplets with a coarse distribution are broken up into a fine aerosol by passing through the nozzle. The downstream to the shockwave adjacent part of the nozzle has a negative effect on the dispersity of the aerosol. The following assay demonstrates how the shockwave is shifted downstream by a shortened laval nozzle. As a result the dispersity of the aerosol is increased in the stationary as well as in the instationary gas flow. Key words Aerosol · Inhalationsaerosol · Lavaldüse · Zerstäubung · Zweistoffdüse
