    Abstract

    The avoidance of genotoxic impurities (GTIs) in clinical medication is a critical safety and quality aspect, which has to be considered already in early clinical development. GTI evaluation and risk minimization is a very complex topic for which appropriate CMC measures have to be in place to ensure patient safety. This article gives an overview on the current regulatory environment and, in particular, on the GTI evaluation approach developed and applied at Sanofi.
