Kompressions- und Desintegrationseigenschaften von Tabletten mit digestiven Enzymen mikrobiellen Ursprungs2. Mitteilung: Desintegrationseigenschaften proteinhaltiger Komprimate * ) Stefan Scheler und Eberhard Nürnberg Lehrstuhl für Pharmazeutische Technologie der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg Compression and Disintegration Properties of Tablets Containing Digestive Enzymes of Microbial Origin / 2nd Communication: Disintegration properties of protein-containing compressed materials The objective of this investigation is to quantify the unfavourable properties of mixtures - containing digestive enzymes of microbiological origin - in view of tablet pressing and to develop methods for the improvement of compounding and processing. Both using the Enslin apparatus and measuring the disintegration time as well as by scanning electron microscopy there was found a limit of the protein concentration amounting to 20 % from which upwards absorption of water decelerates and disintegration of the tablets prolongs. Addition of a granulated protein component to a pulverized mixture of the other ingredients was shown to be favourable to a rapid disintegration.
