This article describes the complex environment of the supply chain in healthcare and life sciences industry and shows the day-to-day life of projects in brief: stakes, risks, methodology, planning and lessons learnt. After that, the focus lies on the maturity of companies for supply chain and the fact that the way towards collaboration exists but is long and difficult. On this base the future of supply chain management and its associated benefits for the improvement of tomorrow’s projects is described.
