A very important aspect is the high sensitivity of biopharmaceuticals against influences from the environment as well as traces of leachables from the immediate packaging components. Since most of the biopharmaceuticals are to be injected by the patient, application systems need to be developed that enable an easy product preparation and administration while maintaining the sterility of the product. For biopharmaceuticals highly sensitive against high temperatures specific coldchain supply containers have to be developed and validated.
