Reinstwasseraufbereitung: Vergleich zwischen der Pharma- und Halbleiterindustrie Kann Wasser noch reiner sein als WFI? Jochen Schmidt-Nawrot und Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Gebicke Hager + Elsässer GmbH, Stuttgart Korrespondenz: Jochen Schmidt-Nawrot, Hager + Elsässer GmbH, Ruppmannstraße 22, 70565 Stuttgart, e-mail: jochen.schmidtnawrot@he-water.com Producing Ultrapure Water: A Comparison between Pharmaceutical and Semiconductor Industry/ Can Water Be Even Purer Than WFI? Ultrapure water is required for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and also – in similar or even much higher quality than water for injection – in other industry sectors, the semiconductor industry being the technology leader. Based on a standard concept of ultrapure water production in microelectronics it is outlined how excellent water quality can be achieved by conventional membrane and ion exchange technology. This is of interest to the pharmaceutical industry, particularly with regard to microbiological water quality, quality control, choice of material and the design of loop systems. Key words Destillation • Highly Purified Water • Pharmawasser • TOC • Ultrapure Water • Umkehrosmose • Wasseraufbereitung • WFI |
