Safe Change Filter Systems for Containments in the Pharmaceutical Industry

The article is about safe change filter systems as primarily used for isolators or closed “Restricted Access Barrier Systems” RABS that are mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry for the handling of toxic substances. The different filter systems are introduced and a typical application is presented. In addition, the pros and cons of changing systems over the conventional filter installation are highlighted.
