Sterilisation of surfaces under the use of vaporized hydrogen peroxide

During the last ten years the use of vaporized hydrogen peroxide for the sterilisation of surfaces inside of glove boxes, material locks and clean rooms has increased. The principles of the sterilisation process and validation methods are illustrated. Furthermore incompatibilities with materials are shown and ranges of application are introduced. Finally advantages and disadvantages of the method are discussed.
