Implementation of the Test on Subdivisibility of Tablets in Practice / Results of the workgroup “subdivisibility of tablets” of the Quality Forum Schleswig-Holstein/ Hamburg (Germany)
The test for subdivision of tablets, introduced in Pharm.Eur. 4.1, can be interpreted in different ways, because of incomplete instructions. In the following paper detailed instructions are provided for selection and carrying out of uniformity tests in connection with the subdivision of tablets. Furthermore, suggestions are made for the implementation of tests for subdivisibility of tablets, considering regulatory aspects.
