Camelot Management Consultants and the University of Warwick have come to the conclusion that pharmaceutical companies must make far-reaching changes to their supply chain management (SCM) organisations to survive the evolution towards the management of disaggregated supply chains. There are three basic models for the organisation of SCM: decentralised local/regional; centralised hub and spoke; and coordinated network.
