    Abstract

    The attention in pharma has always been on R&D and commercialization of new products. The role of operations was to execute and avoid any missteps, especially on quality and compliance. There was little innovation, and investors paid little attention to the way operations was run. Things are different today. The 4th industrial revolution is enabling pharma operations to launch the next “blockbuster” and with that elevate the role it can play to innovate for patients and companies.
