Präsentation neuer Daten auf dem virtuellen Kongress ISTH 2020 unterstreicht Octapharmas Engagement für Patienten mit Blutungsstörungen
14.07.2020Wie Octapharma heute bekanntgab, werden auf dem bevorstehenden virtuellen Kongress der International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), der vom 12. bis 14. Juli 2020 stattfindet, neue Forschungsergebnisse aus seinem Hämatologie-Portfolio präsentiert. Die Studie NuProtect (NCT01712438) diente zur Beurteilung der Immunogenität, Wirksamkeit und Sicherheit von Nuwiq® (Simoctocog alfa) bei 108 Patienten mit Hämophilie A ohne Vorbehandlung. Die Endergebnisse der Studie zeigten eine kumulative Inzidenz von hochtitrigen Anti-FVIII-Inhibitoren mit 17,6 %. Wer die NuProtect-Studie abgeschlossen hatte, erhielt die Möglichkeit, an einer langfristigen Verlängerungsstudie (NCT01992549) teilzunehmen. Die Ergebnisse der Erweiterungsstudie werden erstmalig auf dem ISTH 2020 vorgestellt.

Section 5 outlines how machine learning will simplify and speed-up developments in future. Finally, the article envisions major opportunities for the pharmaceutical and robotics industries justified by the availability of the described new type of applications in combination with the outlined demands.

So sei der Anteil der Befürworter in den vergangenen drei Monaten von 70 auf 61 Prozent zurückgegangen, berichtete die «Süddeutsche Zeitung» am Sonntag unter Berufung auf eine Umfrage. Die Universität Hamburg hatte in Kooperation mit Hochschulen anderer EU-Staaten Tausende Menschen in mehreren Ländern gefragt, wie sie zu einer Impfung gegen das Coronavirus stehen. Bislang gibt es eine solche Impfung nicht.

Weltweit gibt es dafür mittlerweile Beispiele. Allerdings sind die Fallzahlen sehr gering, und nur Hunde, Katzen, Nerze und Frettchen sind nach bisherigen Erkenntnissen betroffen. Experimentell seien unter anderem Hunde und Katzen infiziert worden, sagt Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Vahlenkamp (56), Direktor des Instituts für Virologie der Veterinärmedizinischen Fakultät der Universität Leipzig.
