In a possible step forward for gene therapy, Stanford researchers made mice glow like fireflies

If successful in humans, the technique could be useful for vaccines or cancer therapies. Timothy Blake, a postdoctoral fellow in the Waymouth lab, was hard at work on a fantastical interdisciplinary experiment. 16.02.2017Das Europäische Parlament will die Idee einer Besteuerung von Robotern nicht weiterverfolgen. Dazu erklärt Patrick Schwarzkopf, Geschäftsführer Robotik + Automation im VDMA: „Es ist eine gute Entscheidung des EU-Parlaments, sich gegen eine Robotersteuer auszusprechen, die sich als Job-Killer erwiesen hätte. Europäische Unternehmen brauchen moderne Technologien, um im internationalen Wettbewerb bestehen zu können. Deswegen darf ihr Einsatz nicht erschwert werden. Es ist eine unsinnige Vorstellung, dass Arbeitnehmer von der Politik vor Robotern geschützt werden müssten. Vielmehr helfen neue Technologien, Arbeitsplätze in Europa zu halten." (...)
